{Psalms 69:30-33, ESV}
I will praise the name of God with a song;
I will magnify him with thanksgiving.
This will please the Lord more than an ox
or a bull with horns and hoofs.
When the humble see it they will be glad;
you who seek God, let your hearts revive.
For the Lord hears the needy
and does not despise his own people who are prisoners.

My God, You are the creator of the universe and the giver of life. This is why every blessing of my life and every provision that I have are gifts from You. Heavenly Father, You alone have made my life possible.

Today I give You my thanks. I thank You for the breathe of life, the food on the table, and the water in the glasses. I thank You for the house I am able to live in, the bed I am able to sleep on, and the clothes I am able to wear. I thank You for the health of my body, the wisdom of my mind, and the faith of my heart. I thank You for my supportive friends, my wonderful church, and my loving family.

Lord God, the one thing I ask from You today, is contentment. In the midst of the hustle and bustle this holiday season may my heart find satisfaction in You and the life You have given to me. I want my desire to be for You and not for the things of this world. Help me to be content with a simple life.

There is no doubt that You have been so very good to me. Let the way I live my life be a song of thanksgiving to You. It is in the name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior, that I pray. Amen.
